The Dimensions of God’s Presence – Dr. Prince Boamah Abrah

Dearly beloved, I am inspired to share these beautiful words of inspiration and reflections with you.

This reflection is about the four basic dimensions of the manifestation of God’s presence. At the end of your reading, you may come to appreciate and understand the relevance of acknowledging and revering God’s presence in space and time.

God is Omnipresent. In God’s presence, darkness gives way to light, holiness takes over sinfulness, lies is overtaken by truth, confusion gives way for unity, envy gives way for love, fear gives way to confidence, sickness gives way to good health and death gives way for eternal life. What an awesome presence! His presence gives peace that surpasses all understanding.

It is however relevant to note that one of the divine attributes of God is “ever-present” or omnipresent. His presence can be felt anywhere. He is an infinite and timeless God, not limited by space and time.

As children of God we need to revere His presence anywhere we find ourselves.

God manifests His presence in several dimensions. This reflection will introduce you to four of these dimensions:

The dimensions of God’s presence

1. As pointed out earlier, God is omnipresent. There is no place we can hide from His presence. Thus, wherever there is the breath of life there is God.

2. God manifests His presence when believers gather in His name. Thus, where two or three are gathered in the name of the Lord His presence comes to be with us. This revelation was made by Jesus Christ in the book of Matthew 18:20.

3. God manifests His presence in Chronicles 5:13-14, the ministry of the musicians and singers inspired God’s presence. The cloud of glory representing God’s presence filled the temple so much that the Priests could not stand on their feet to perform their religious activities.

4. God’s presence manifested itself in the gifts of nature. Space and Time declare the wonders and goodness of God.

Conclusion

God’s presence makes a difference in the life of every child of God. Anyone who carries GOD’s presence is favored and he/she attracts God’s blessings.

This is the reason why every creature on earth need not take the presence of God for granted. Wherever we find ourselves either at church, work, school, home, or even in our closet, we have God’s presence.

We take God’s presence for granted when we engage in fraudulent, immoral, criminal, and shameful practices which do not glorify God. In the same way, we can keep or maintain God’s presence through our worship, devotion, following His instructions, and living a sinless life.

Beloved, let’s be mindful of our lives. God’s presence brings glory, favor, and protection.

Ever-present God, I thank you for the exposition of your word. Just as Moses prayed for Your presence to go ahead of him, so do I pray for your presence to go ahead of me to calm the troubled waters and straighten every crooked path in Jesus mighty name Amen.
